As kids grow the space needs to be able to evolve with them and their interests. The upgrade included the transition from a crib to a new sophisticated bed with a nice ink blue performance velvet texture that match the boy’s love for cars and planes. The slats reinforce the focal point of the bed being the main piece. Instead of the typical nightstands we added bookcases to maximize storage for toys and books. Wall shelving add a touch of color, storage and playfulness and create a monochromatic color palette with the rug as well that unifies the design. This allows the child to grow in the room without making major changes.
